This is my Yamaha OW40 1980 bike ,
The bike is one of two brought in by Mitsui Yamaha UK for Niel Hudson , Niel rode the bikes in pre-season training and early season  international races home and in europe.Niel was still under contract to ride maico and when they found out he was riding the factory yamaha's they took him to court and won even though they had agreed to realease him, The bike was then rode the rest of the season by yamaha rider Pete Mathia.  please let me know if you need more details .

Niel Hudson rode the bike in france at a international race early in 1980, anyone have pictures from that meeting? thanks jon
